Been a long old wait but finally

16 & 10 Years ago and now 4/3/23. Back in 2007 I won the “Skills of the Hills” Blackdown Hills Hedgelaying association (BHHA) Intermediate Class cutting Devon style , in 2013 I gained a first at the Devon rural Skills competition in Open class, again Devon style. In between those dates and since Ive never had a placing at a Devon comp ( must be something I’m not doing right )and I have been to plenty over the years. Yesterday I managed to FINALLY break that run by not only getting placed but grabbing the top spot. Making this bit more of a special one to have gained. A brilliant day was had by all 70 odd cutters in 5 classes. With some stunning work in all classes. This competition is very well known in the SW and beyond always a great day out.
