Reviving this ancient parish boundary estimated to be around 300–400 years old has been something special. The line runs straight over the hill for roughly 230 metres, and trekking back and forth to open it up definitely gave us a workout! There’s something incredibly rewarding about uncovering and redefining this old flint-banked boundary, breathing life back into a feature that has shaped this landscape for centuries. We’ve had all sorts of weather so far: bright, crisp days, 1st winter snow, and those biting northerly winds that cut right through you… but honestly, working in a place with views like these makes every moment worth it. You couldn’t ask for a more inspiring “office” than the Dorset hills. Here’s to heritage, hard work, and the satisfaction of seeing a landscape restored. #parishboundaries #hedgelaying #dorsetnaturallandscapes #dorsetaonb #ruralworking #dorsetcountryside #bulbarrow #hedgerows #countrylife #rejuvenation #countryside #dorset
